This may or may not be in the right section, but I am posing a message to those of you going through this and those who have been through it in hopes that it might help all of us. Firstly, if I had not come to this site I would have never found any hope except bankruptcy. I have defaulted on most of my PDL's and almost paid off one. Have another that is greatly diminished, and have a few who now know I will be paying them off.

We've all seen the spam, it's impossible to miss. Some [supposed] gal named Clara gets on our forum and spews dozens of spam messages advertising easy loans at fantastic terms all over the place. For the minority of DebtCC users who haven't seen these messages, they look like this: I posted this thread on the DebtCC 'Getting a Loan' board earlier this month, using humor to point up the scam behind the spam.

i have a loan with these crooks wanna be mob boss/bums... i closed my bank account and got another on... Bank of America will cooperate with you in full.... i put a freeze on my credit report... that mean if anybody try to use my social sec# for even a damn lolli pop they is S.O.L. without a verbal confirmation from me from over my cell phone... Im going to pay these bums... im going to give them my prepaid account number... i control that account I'mn just going to put $305 on the dayum card the amount of the pay off and thats it...

We are currently filing chapter 7. We had to voluntarily surrender my husband's car yesterday and he will be using my car to get to work. My questions are: If my husband buys a clunker just to get by until after the bankruptcy, will the courts take it (since I understand that we are allowed one car)? Does the one car allowance mean one car LOAN or one car-paid off or not? How long after the discharge do we have to wait until we can get a small loan to get a car? Any help with these questions will be greatly appreciated.

I just got a letter from the one and only collection agency I was dealing with. The letter was stating that my debt has been paid in full. :P I will be keeping that letter until I die and passing it down to my children. I only have two more credit cards to go. YEAH!!!!!!

Last summer my husband got hurt and was off for most of the summer with a little workmans comp check I was off for a month because I work for school and was off for a month until i went back to work for summer school. And that is just for 1 month and then I am off for another month before regular school. I did get another job too, but it took a while to find, and bills were due. So I got into a lot of payday loans online and store front. I have paid some of my store front but still owe the online ones.
