OK...I got a summons from Weltman Weinberg and Reis in Michigan. They are representing Capital One. However,the debt is from "04" and it went through several collections companies. The debt was charged off for 1,600.00 I am not sure when (long time ago) and now WWR is saying I owe 2,840.00. Is this legal? I tried looking up my states laws with no luck. This is crazy. I didn't think the original creditor would buy back the debt. I don't get it.

Ive been reading on here about sending a letter to these companies revoking them from debiting your account? Is there a sample letter somewhere that I can use?

Anyone know who this is? They have taken out alot of money from my account and I dont know who they are.

Sorry Im starting a new thread for my issue because when I started posting I was just a guest. So here is my issue that I need help with. ~I have not went to my bank yet..Im an employee of the bank and dont want any issues with my employment there. So I am nervous with that. Can we get 10 financial videos that you found helpful under this thread to evaluate the quality of information available under video section.

i had 3 bad checks i wrote out in 2006 those checks were evatially turned over to the da office and they were doing the collections on it.. i made arrangement with the da and a week ago got a letter from bennett and deloney trying to collect on these checks.. i called the da office she told me that they still have the checks and not to pay them.. what should i do.. the da sending me copies of these allege checks that bennett and deloney are trying to collect..should i send them a cease and desist letter

Hey Everyone, I am new here and have been reading through some of these threads and figured if anyone can help me its you guys. I made a huge mistake a while ago with payday loans and now I am trying to get them taken care of. Problem is I changed my email address and can no longer access my old email to get the company info. So I dont know who I am paying, only thing I know is what shows up on my bank statements. I have 4 outstanding and have been paying them for almost a year interest only. Heres what they show up as 1.
