I desperately looking for help. I got caught up in the payday loans and need to get out of them. I live in Ohio and have 8 loans right now. Two of them are about to be paid off.

I just lost my job and I have several pdl's. . . now I can't pay them. . . what do I do? Will they work with me?

Ok I was under the impression that you use the SOL for the state you live in, but I recently found a post which states the SOL is calculated from the state the debt originated in.

Hello! I am currently going through the discovery process prior to trial in Texas and am about to file the request for production. My question is this: what are they(collection agency) required to show as proof that they own the debt and can legally collect on it? I read some things and have looked over your DV letter. Is it just the contract between me and the original creditor or can other things be considered proof. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. -JoeJoeBean

Hello, It's been awhile, but I'm back. Just received a response from my local MO AG regarding Cash2day4u. They emailed them and they emailed back to the investigator. Here is part of the response they sent regarding my complaint. They (cashtodaylimited) are giving me the chance to settle for the original amount of the loan of $200 and will agree to take installment payments. They also state that they have repeatedly called me with no response and emailed me with no response.

So I got ratejacked on one of my credit cards for no good reason - at least in my eyes. The explaination letter I got basically said they didn't like the changes on my credit report. At that time I just paid the card off to a $0.00 balance and of course they ratejacked me 2 days after that. I never realized this happened, and charged a 3700.00 boiler unit for our new house on the card - a few days later is when I got my statement and the new interest rate. I never got any notice from them about being able to cancel my account and keep my old rate - and they say they sent it.

Got a call from National Credit Adjusters (620 728 1486) yesterday evening regarding a PDL w/ Mycashnow. It was an "automated dial" call, I had to wait till someone got on the line (aren't those fun?) I told them that PDL's were prohibited in Maryland and I'd tell them the same thing I'd told mycashnow several times; I was working with the Commissioner of Financial Regulation, that office had told me to refer any and all calls, emails, etc., to them, and if they wanted to talk to them, I'd gladly give them the number.

I received a response to a DV letter today, attached was a copy of the judgment my husband signed a yr ago, with the previous CA. The previous CA canceled the judgment, 6 days after receiving first payment and refunded the 1 payment they took (4 months later). I have copies of paperwork sent to hubbies employer, along with the canceled check they hadn't even cashed. Also, assignee doesn't mean they bought the debt right? The first letter said (lawyer) retained by Cavalry, assignee of Hilco (the one that got the judgment).
