debt consolidation is better or debt management is better

Is there a FAKO score too? I've heard of FICO but what the hell is now FAKO? My boyfriend bought it :?

OK, I have an ongoing dispute with Sallie Mae because they added fees to my loan balance that where not specifically mentioned in my promissory note. The fee itself was not mentioned, and no dollar amount was ever mentioned. But the amount was added to my account on the day the loan was originally disbursed, way back when. HOWEVER, this amount never showed up in any of my statements, original paperwork--even when I go online to their website and look up my account, there is a place I can go for 'disbursement details' and it clearly states that this fee was NOT added to my loan.

my story, then a question. basically, I've been working with credit counselors since November. We set up a payment plan and I've been paying them since then. Received notice from the court for judgement default court date on one of the ca's listed with my credit counselors. asset acceptance attorney called me 2 days before the court date and told me everything was taken care of and to not worry about it because I was in credit counseling. ummm, yeah right.... I didn't go to court and of course judgement default was issued.... I know I was stupid....

OK, I sat down tonight and wrote my last payment to the one a Collection Agent I have had to deal with during this nightmare called debt. As I was writing the check number in my registery it hit me. The check number was 666. Is it ironic or Coincidence. Anyway you look at it I found it pretty darn funny.

With it i included only, and only the information they had posted on my credit report. Which was the account number, my name, and the amount. Has anyone heard of New Era Debt Solutions? I have been speaking to them about settling my credit cards, but I am leary of going through with it..... it is scary to me to turn this stuff over to someone and I keep thinking that I will get ripped-off. Any information on this company? I have been so depressed over this debt situation I really don't know which way to go.
