I was kind of bummed the rest of this weekend after reading posts from two members and the trials they were currently going through. Morningstarr430's and her son's horrific experiences and the NIU shooting, as well as puddlejmpr's difficult decision concerning her cat. Now some might be offended I put the two in the same sentence; however, not everyone deals with grief in the same way.

I received a summon at the door Sunday. I live in Michigan and its 6 yrs for sol. i don't have any paper work on the account since its been around six ago. any suggestions, get a lawyer?? thanks mike

Help I just emailed the Little Loan Shop and asked for their mailing address so I can mail their payment and they told me that they didn't have a mailing address??? I live in Michigan and haven't paid them anything but plan on sending them the $390 in full this Friday. I have closed my account. Does anyone have a good mailing address that I can mail this payment to?

Ok, I have several pdl's that I am currently trying to straighten out. I've read a lot of the info on here and I am currently gathering my totals so I can post here and get some advice. It looks like I have more than paid back the loans in fees, but I want to finish researching the numbers to be sure. I saw a form letter to send them posted on another topic and I took the liberty of borrowing that, so thank you already! Does anyone have info on JD Marketing?

The credit card co. violated a cease and desist order given by the debt consolidation lawyer. Can I hold them legally responsible, such as suing them?

I'll try again...what are the realistic chances $45000 in credit card debt, 15% or more of which is fees, etc, can be reduced by 60% or more if I contact companies. I am on disability preparing for heart surgery, 61 years old, etc.etc.etc Do not want to file bankruptcy, have no one to assist me. (am broke)

I have $45000 +/- CC debt probably more than 10-15% fees, etc, maybe more. I am now on permanent disability, 61 yrs old, alone, no money, preparing for heart surgery. Don't want to file bankruptcy. What are my chances of getting debt settlement at 60% or less of original debt by contacting 4 card companies on my own?

All, I have my DFS account in collections with this lawfirm and have been advised via phone that will be filing suit. When I first called to work something out with them the rep handling my account stated that they (Dell) are not interested in monthly payments I offered her for the time being $50 a month on a $2062 balance. Then she told me I had till 2/20/08 to settle but for the full balance. Told me to borrow money etc after I explained my situation and all that.

Has anyone tried consumer debt solutions?

I got myself into the pdl mess, and now I need help to get out of it. I was referred to Lanhorne debt solutions but, their fee is $968 for 12month plan. do you know of any company that will work with me and these pdl loans?
