I have been here before, but things have gotten worse. I recently (two weeks ago) took out (9) pay day loans in just a few days. They are all store front, and I have a internet loan (cash net usa). Let's see, where to start. Well, I live in Nevada and all those loans I took out weeks ago are all due today, right now. My work has been flooded with calls from overdue loans, which I expected and have brought on myself. I fortunately am by myself today at work, but come Monday, they will all be calling again.

Can someone tell me if these guys are operating legally in Texas? I did a search and found the answer for other states, but I wanted to check on my state. Thanks!

I hear it time and again that someone was cleaned out for more than agreed because they gave the collector lizards electronic access to their account or post-dated checks and the collector cashed them all at once. Here's how you do it: 1) First, nothing sent to the CA until you get an agreement in WRITING that includes a NO RECOURSE clause. If they won't send that, then you know that they have no intention of honoring the agreement. Ignore them until they will. 2) NEVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER give them electronic access to your checking account or post-dated checks.

I just received a call from a person at citi,claiming to be in their legal dept.I am 6 months behind on my bill and the man said i need to come up with $300 on the 29th of this month.He said if i didn't,then the lawyers would run my credit reports and look at all of my assets. He said that i would be taken to small claims court.Well, after getting off the phone with him,i googled the number (800-891-2873)And it came up as United Collections Bureau. Why did this person say he was with citi cards?Is he also just trying to strong arm me to pay?I don't think that any of my assets would show up o

Hello, I'm so glad I found this site! I got into the payday loan trap. I'm a college grad with a good job, but I admit to getting sucked in when money was tight. I'd like to pay off what I owe these companies, but I'd like to know if you think I'd have any success with initiating payment plans with them? I'm in New Mexico. The last few years have been very difficult financially and I have not paid my debit in about 2 years now. I live in Florida and some attorney is trying to collect on a credit card debit but they have not been able to serve me with some papers. They have called me and left several messages but I have not returned the call. They have also come to my house but I have not answered the door. What happens if they go to court and get a judgement against me? Will they garnish my wages? I am the money maker in my family, my husband works on commission and makes little money.
