I also took an online loan from 1st Bank of Delaware which I have repay 2/month until end of May. These loans are storefront and in Idaho. I live right on the border in OR and there are no storefront loans here anymore.

Hi everyone, I am sorry I have not been online for a while but I got some bad news before Xmas ( I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I got very depressed, upset, mad at the world but thanks to my family they brought me back so I decided I was going to fight it, went for a Needle core biopsy, boy did it hurt!

I was thinking (lol famous last words) that it would be much easier to assist people if we had an alphabetical list of what PDL's are illegal, if we can get everyone to contribute the names of the illegal ones we can alphabetize it and maybe get it posted up top permanently.

Could someone tell me if Payday-Loan-Yess is licensed in Florida? If they are not, how can they report you to the Credit Bureau?

I posted back in 2006 that this Law Firm/Collection Agency sued me for my Capital One account which had fell into collection earlier that year. After going thru one collection agency it ended up at one in my state which was also a law firm. They ended up suing me for the amount due on the account. The problem I had was we settled out of court and on the paper which showed we agreed on an amount showed that I had a balance of around $570 then also sued for interest for up to Jan.

15 months ago, I received a false charge on my credit card for $874.91 CAD (I'm in Canada, the charge was in US funds) to an online gambling site called ULTIMETBET.COM. I instantly informed the credit card company, and they reversed the charge, and sent me a letter informing me that the charge was determined to be fraudulent, and the amount was charged back to the merchant bank. 13 months later, I received a nasty phone call from Joseph, Mann and Creed telling me that they have been hired to collect the amount from me and that I am responsible to pay.

i know everyone heard about the wild weather we had here in tennessee. i live in jackson and finally got around to view some of the damage and it is just simply amazing. the pictures on the news do not even compare to what i saw in person. even though i live about 6 miles from where the damage was done, the wind was barely blowing and get just a little rain. how amazing!! the last tornado we got in 2003 was much worse and the city is still trying to recover from it. in my mother-in-law neighborhood, homes were simply destroyed.

I was served w/ a summons from a credit card company 2 weeks ago and my 30 days is almost up and I do not want a default answer. I do not know how to respond. I did incur the debt but there are mitigating reasons for not paying (medical bills, failed real estate sale of our home in PA-took almost 1 year to sale and we were paying 2 mortgages). I do not work, so I have no income and we are insolvent. Any advice?

I know that PDL's are prohibited in New York State but it can get confusing, to say the least. Just for clarification, if they are prohibited/illegal in the state you live in but licensed in a state they operate from, is it all the same difference? They are illegal no matter what? You guys are so good at knowing who is legal/licensed and who is not. Is there a list somewhere that gives that info? It seems that everyone is always looking for the same info. Thanks a bunch for your help.

I would like to find a Debt service that will do both PDLs and Credit Cards. Is there a company that you recommend?
