I have seen this several times recently where a person gets into a settlement program and is lulled into a false sense of security when it comes to litigation. They are either told by the settlement company that they are safe and protected or they conjure it up in their own mind. I am not speaking of consolidation which is different. Contrary to what they think, not only are they not safe but in many cases more vulnerable. The settlement company contacts a lawfirm with a first offer which is low.

However, they keep telling me they will not send a letter agreeing that the account will be paid in full until it is paid in full.
