hi like to know best way to go have 2 cards one 7500 on it and one 13,000 on it was going to put the one with 7500 on it transferred balances to a o fixed apr for 1 year other card cant do that to high a balance like to get a life back so I need your HELP!!! thanks kevin

I was seriously delinquent on a Bank of America credit card while I did a semester in China studying abroad. I know it was stupid but I figured i would pay it when I was back. The credit card is now $1,100 and I received a letter from the Card Services collection agency saying it would be written off as a bad debt in October. The only problem is--it's November!!! I didn't receive this letter until this month so now it is probably being written off as a bad debt. I'm only 20 and I need to work on repairing my credit history!! What am I going to do???

I was bopping around that inside arm site's forums, boy what an eye-opener!!! I came across someone asking about if a lawsuit was considered an initial communication. Apparently, IT IS..which means that the summons or whatever would have to have all the stuff about validation and possibly even the 'this is from a debt collector' stuff...how facinating...does anyone else know about this?

Unfortunatly I had to return my car to the finance company a year ago. I owe about $5,573. It is listed on my credit as a "Charge Off As Bad Credit". Because of a job layoff and my income dropping from $3,000 a month to $1,700 a month, it was necessary. In any case, The original finance company has sold the account. I will be getting about $2,000 back from my taxes. QUESTION: Should I use that $2,000 to pay on the repo car loan? {Email Addr removed for your protection} -Debtcruncher

ok, here's the latest mess... For some time now I have suspected that someone has been using my identity fraudulently. This is the latest step in this battle. There was an entry on my credit report last year for a mortgage that was supposedly foreclosed upon. According to the info, they claimed that I abandoned this house in 2006, but the whole deal took place in Kentucky. I have lived in Louisiana for almost five years now and have never lived in KY. So, I contacted the company, no luck with them.

Can someone recommend a good debt consolidation company located in the Metropolitan area?

Collection agency? I have a hosp bill which the colleciton agency failed to validate the debt despite my letters. I know they are not suppose to but can they sell the debt off to another collection agency? Do collection agencies sell debts to other collection agency's? Thanks
