Hi, new here and thank god I found this website. It's been so much help. Now if anyone can help me through this dilemma. Over 7 years ago, my brother and I had a joint account with Bank of America. My wallet was stolen and someone racked up over $2000 in purchases. I called it in stolen and had Bank of America close the account. A year after the incident Bank of America was trying to collect overdraft fees, which resulted from the debit card being stolen.

I took out two online payday loans in march to help out a family member who was in a bind. Trusting them they would pay it back. Of course they didn't and it messed up a checking account of mine, and it was never taken care of. Today I got a call from this lady who sounded like she was trying to "help" she asked if I had an attorney, and I asked her why would I need an attorney?

A woman called my cell phone offering to make me "debt-free this year" stating this was "based on your credit report." I could not understand much of what she said and could not make out the company name. I believe the area code is South Florida. I plan to call back later and ask how she obtained information from my credit report. Hard pull? Soft pull? She has no business looking me up and I intend to point that out. I'm a little miffed considering I am debt free with the exception of my car loan and student loans. Anyone receive a call?

Well here is my problem 4 months ago I stopped my PDL nightmare and took control of my finances again, the bank I had at the time Metropolitian National Bank refused to put any ACH hardblockdebit only as they claim they didn't do that. I went all the way to the top of the food chain at the bank and was told the same answer. Since I was unable to block all the ACH charges it ran my checking account way in the negitive as I had $1000 overdraft.

Hi, I hope some of you good folks can help me? I have just received a copy of a lawsuit filed against me by CACH LLC. The OC is not even on my credit report any longer, so this debt is definately past SOL (4 years in Texas). On reading my CR I noticed that CACH pulled a hard inquiry back in 06 with permissable purpose to aquire/service/insure account. Can they legally do this?? Also, I received notice back end of Nov that if I did not respond within 35 days then action would be taken. A lawsuit was filed Dec 17th. They did not give me the full 35 days before filing.

I just got a call from a CA on an old ipdl I got in 2006....the balance is 240.00 on a 150.00 loan. I had paid back $ 45.00.....They dont except Money Orders? :? Is this true?
