Hello, I got a call today from Westfield portfolio management regarding a internet payday loan i took out back in 2008 from Northstar cash.. They said I owe them $900 how they got that amount I don't know because the maximum payday loan in CA in $250.00 or it was back in 2008... Also they are now saying that because i signed the form when i got the loan they are going to garnish my wages without having to take me to court and i could be facing felony charges because of the amount owed.. Can they do this? I live in California

Hello. After sending Elissa Chavez maybe 4 copies of the ach authorization/wage assignment revocation letter, I finally got a response from "correspondence requested". At first I thought it was spam. Luckily I opened it. Then, I saw I had two. So, I open the first one. It just says : Dear Customer, The attached document is the information you have requested. Sincerely, The Correspondence department And it had a PDF file attached with my payments listed and what I owe. (Which I will break down here): I got a $850 loan.

i live in ny state and have taken out 5 payday loans from ameriloan. i believe they are illegal lenders. i had to default on my current loan. these are the loans i have taken out and how much i've paid. 300----paid 390 total 300----paid 540 400---paid 675 300---paid 90......still owe 390. legally, what do i owe them?? please help. thank you.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can tell me if Hydra Fund is licensed in IL? I foolishly took a pay day loan when my ex stopped paying child support. Then I noticed that they deposited money without my consenting to a loan and have been deducting money ever since. My question is, are they licensed in the state of IL? I am considering contacting my bank and requesting that all payments to them cease.

Ok ive done all that has been suggested, and still I recieved another letter from CC offerening to modify the balance of the loan which to date was for 2600 which was over paid by 3107 and now they want me to modify a balance of 3570.

I know that there are 3 major credit reports....TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. I am wanting to pull my credit report to see what is on it and to basically clean it up. Do all 3 reports contain the same information? Do I need to pull all 3 reports?

I have a vehicle that was surrendered during bankruptcy. The lender never made any attempts to pick up the vehicle. We parked it in the field next to our house where it has sat for over 7 years. I am wondering what the law says about ownership. Has this vehicle been forfeited? Can I license this vehicle and drive it? It needs several thousand in repairs and I don't want to invest the time or money in something that can be taken from me. I am in the state of ky. Thanks
