I keep getting threatening calls from these guys saying that they are going have a warrant put out for my arrest for a $150.00 loan that I paid over 200.00 for so I closed my account. Now they are also calling my 80 year old grandmother and terrifying her half to death with there threats.I say in my book that is harrasment. I don't know how to get them to stop I asked them once to leave her alone but they keep it up. I am ready to get legal help and give them a taste of there own medicine. Do you think thats a good idea or give me some advice on what to do? :oops:

I believe someone called my husband employment and said it was "Federal Wage garnish" looking for me and said to call 18007913266 ext 2274. should i send a cease letter of com.. for my husband...My husband is upset thinking they will garnish his wages since we are married.

I have recently gotten myself into what seems like a bottomless pit of trouble. It began when I took out 2 high dollar fast cash installment loans; one with CashCall for $5000 (3 years) in March 2007 and a previous one with QuickClickLoans (2 years) in September 2006. They were debiting $254 and $200 each month respectively from my paycheck. In September 2007, I experienced financial hardship and health issues that caused me to have significant cash expenditures.

Hi everyone - I am seeking help from anyone and everyone regarding my current debt situation. I just graduated undergrad college in May of 07, and I have excessive school loan debt, on top of pretty high credit card bills. I only make $36,000 a year, and my school loans are from many different companies, so upon repayment I am looking at NUMEROUS payments on top of many interest rates. I have a (ready?) grand total of about $110k in school debt. I also have 3 major credit cards, with a total of about $6,500 on them. They are all near their limits.

Should I request a debt validation letter even though I know the debt is valid and was just turned over to a collections agency? I know if the debt is old etc, this is a wise thing, but I know this debt was just turned over to a collection agency and it's mine. I just got the letter today so now sure how I should handle this. So all you seasoned pro's out there - what do you suggest?

I realize that this is not an insurance forum but I thought someone might have a thought on this! Around 40 years ago I had a job working for a company in NY. It was my first real job. I had a life insurance policy there that was payable in cash upon leaving the company. When I left the company I was supposed to receive a check from the insurance but I never did. Because it was only 30 or 40 bucks and I was wrapped up in all kinds of other stuff and young I never persued it.

i thought our chex report was major bad.. just got off the phone with my wifes niece which is a manager at a fifth third bank and she ran the report on both of us and said we had a couple issues in the past about 4 years ago. but that there would be no problem opening a checking account as long as it didnt say we owed a bank a specific amount of money. obviously it didnt show us owing any money and the account is open :))) so we got a checking at fifth third today..

But now my ignorance has me running scared. I have 8 loans at current: CashStore (storefront) QuickCash (storefront) Magnum Cash Alberta Cash Shop AmeriCashAdvance A A A Community Finance (online, but in Illinois) MyCashNow Bank of Delaware (online, but installment) I have sent ACH revocations to each of the online stores, and closed my account.
