Need advice Please!!!!! My Question is ! have debt of $11,000.00 by Discover. I signed with superior debt co. to try and settle this debt. I've been in this program for 4 months now a debt collector from Red Line has contacted me and wants to settle for $4700.00 or 40 cents on the dollar. He said he would send me an agreements letter before hand stating debt is over with. Should I go this route or stay with the settlement co. I could come up with the money in about 2 months. Should I tell the settlement co. and they could settle or is the Red Line collection agency the way to go.

I attended a full military funeral today for a Korean war veteran..have attended other such military funerals in past but when it is an actual family member and that person with the white gloves is standing in front of your family members stating that they represent the President of the United States and are presenting you with the flag..after the bugles..the rifles etc..the whole thing is almost fairy like.. anyways funerals are always bad news there are never any good ones..

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! I have been reading a number of posts here from individuals who have taken out private loans to attend private tech schools and business schools. I wonder if anyone has really found their educations at these private institutions has helped them find employment? I can't help but think that people can get a very decent education at their local community college for a lot less $$$. I am kind of an insider on this. I have taught in community college as well as at a private (unaccredited) business school in Fort Myers, Florida.

Received a collection letter from Valentine & Kebartas, Inc collecting for ECARE CONTACT CENTERS. I never heard of either of these companies. However, research on the internet sounds like ECARE is a collection agency for internet payday loan companies. Does anyone have any information? I did have several payday loans.

I live in PA and currently have a loan with Cash Call which was underwritten and funded by the First Bank of Delaware. The interest rate on my loan is 98.88%. Does anyone know if the First Bank of Delaware is bound by the PA small loan rate cap of $9.50 per $100 discount or 24% per year since the have a physical presence in PA. The contact address listed for them on Cash Calls website is on 16th street in Philsdelphia. I e-mail the PA department of Banking and ask this question, but wanted to see the thought of the forum.
