OK, I owe about 10 grand in CC debt and I can only afford the minimum monthly payments. I don't know how debt consolidation works. I don't know if I can negotiate with the CC companies to lower my rate to allow me to pay them back. I have no clue what to do. I am lost and scared and confused and I feel helpless right about now. Can anyone give me some advice on how to handle this stuff???

Hi everyone: I have a friend that is getting divorced, basically over financial matters. She has been stuck with a CC with a $20K balance in the divorce settlement. This card is in her husbands name and SSN. She did have her own card to use but the contract, signatures were all completed by her husband, her signature was never put on anything. Can this debt be legally reported to her credit and can she be held responsible/sued for this debt? I guess that I am wondering what supercedes what, the CC contract, or the divorce decree? Thanks in advance for your answers!

I have approx 4 payday loans totaling $1300.00 without there interest is there a way to have someone consolidate these loans for me and work out a plan to where its somthing i can afford? I am paying 447.00 a month just on interest fees alone and i dont know what i am going to due when the loans have to be paid with additional principal? Please help

They replied the day after my fax. Now I'm trying to get back my finance charges I paid to pay off my loans from: United Cash Loans, ameriloan, and TJF and/or Bahamas Marketing group. I sent each company a fax, e-mail and certified letter yesterday (12-10-07). This morning at 6:35am Pacific Time I received a call and message to my voicemail from TFJ/BMG.

Hi everyone, I just got a vociemail from checksmart...They said they have a complaint against me. Don't what this means and they say if I don't call them in 24 hours will be sent to the state of AZ. Don't know what this means. I have 3 accounts with them...I've paid half of one them on a 432 balance. One store I owe 345, another $232 and another 405 bucks or so...I don't want to have to deal with their corp office. They are so intimidating.

Hey Everyone! I've been very quiet for awhile because I stopped receiving calls from these crooks. Today, I got a email from my HR Department stating that someone called her and left a message to call this number. I believe it is for Payday Cashlink (landmark express) and I have sent them numerous letters and emails that they are not allowed to call my work. I do owe them money, but I have been working slowly and surely to get all my other stuff paid before I even send them any money! It has taken me this long to get caught up on everything!

I am very very very past due on my Credit Cards that they are in collections now. How can i negotiate with the collections or original creditor to come up with a one time payment? Is it better to send a letter, and if i do what should i say? Thanks, this is a very helpful website that is giving me motivation to get myself out of debt. I have been saving up lots of money for this time to come and it looks like if i can do some negotiations i can do some "good" damage to my debt! 8)
