I myself was contacted just last year about defaulted student loan! the threatened to garniush my wages and all this other BS, I didnt dispute the money owed, However I wasnot going to be degraded by the debt collector! so i sent my payments directly to the department of education! And i do so with other debt im paying off! I will NOT send any money to a debt collector! if im paying off a debt, I send payment to the original creditor, once accepted by them, the so call debt collector has no standing!

:confused: My account was 322 at one point and I sent 327 to pay my card off and had it cancelled. Capital one charge 5.97, just .97 more then what I sent in to have my account stay open. I was not notified until the bill was 522 and almost two in half years later. I refused to pay this for telling them I wanted it canceled. They charged it off and it is now with THE CBE GROUP 319-242-7366. They call me none stop and I said for them to prove I owe and nothing has been sent to prove I owe any thing. Not stop calls at all hours, what can I do?

Its been awhile, I disputed cashcall on my credit report and today the response was that its my debt which I knew and pretty much its gonna stay on my credit report I haven heard anything from CC. So my question is what should I do?
