I contacted 2 credit card companies 2 months ago to have my accounts reaged, and they agreed, and provided a payment schedule I could live with to pay off the debt. however, I still see that my credit report has not changed. how long does this usually take? I've made 2 ontime payments to them since talking to them about the reaging. And what should I do about it?

I looked at my credit report today and discovered that I had a $9000 debt on there. The debt was late and up for collection. Upon hitting the "dispute this" button I found out it was for a medical expense from when I was active duty military. Tri-care medical insurance paid for it back in 2003. Now they are claiming that it was never paid and is up for collection. What do I do???

where can we turn to that is legal. our credit is not that good

I obtained a mailing address for MCN this morning. I called and without giving my name or any other information simply told them that I needed a mailing address for legal notice/creditor notice for a bankruptcy filing. The first customer service rep told me their policy was to get the lawyers name and number and call them. I asked her if she was refusing to give me the inforamtion I asked for and she said no but that was their policy and offered to give me a supervisor. The supervisor tried the same tact - I give them info to verify the case number, etc. and they give me none.

I have a question for anybody. Has anyone closed their bank accts, and then not pd another dime to these loan shark pd places? If so, what did they do to you? Help?

I have 4 open loans. One with United cash loans, ameriloan, BIG ltd and Discount Advances. I just wanted to know what I was susposed to do if it is illegal in the state of Washington dc.
