I have also been contacted by Jackson Phillips they said I owe 678 from a year ago and that it had to be a one time payment. Or they will get a court order to take up to 60% of may wages until the debt is cleared

I lost my job in October 2006 and suffered a great income loss was making 130k yr. I have been looking for work but was not even coming close to my previous salary. My checking accounts at BOA, Wachovia, Compass Bank all took a beating and all 3 eventually closed and was reported to chexsystems. My credit has been destroyed losing my house and truck. I have had 3 jobs since and have to use different check cashing places to cash my checks. I finally landed a job this month with my income back to where I was. Only problem is my employer requires direct deposit.

I found out today if your only income is from disability income that the income cannot be garnished,but there can be a freeze placed on your bank account,is this true i do not know,hope someone else can vertify that.i am sure a lot of peole wold like to know for sure.i contacted a debt counciling service for disabled,they tod me to send them 200and 20 dollars a month to keep the creditirs off my back,yet the debts are never paid off.
