I am paying on a large credit card balance and it has gone to two collection agencies, yet I'm paying faithfully each month on an agreed upon amount by creditor...I don't understand! Also, who do I pay? Can I pay the creditor directly. I don't want to miss a payment--KAP

I filed for bankrupcy in 1997 but now when I try for a loan or credit card it always comes back and we get turned down. I thougt it came off after 7 years.
