Just need to vent...

18 years 3 months ago
Hello friends, I just needed to rant and rave for a few minutes. Several weeks ago, with the support and confidence I gained from signing up here, I closed my checking account, sent letters to these evil PDL companies, set myself up on a budget and decided that I could and would re-take control over my life and finances. With a new found feeling of empowerment, I was feeling like I could take on anything. I set up a new checking account, ready to guard the numbers with my life... no one would be getting my account and routing number ever again!!

Bankruptcy Attorney Question

18 years 3 months ago
Hi everyone, Before I start, I am so glad I found this website. It is very comforting to see and hear about everyone's experiences. After much consideration I am pretty certain that I should file bankruptcy. And I wanted to find out if anyone has worked with any attorneys in the Manhattan area that they were happy with and whom charged reasonable rates handling their bankruptcy. I don't know of anyone, and the amount of information I find online is pretty overwhelming.

Little cash for a trip to the shore turned into disaster

Okay here is my list: Northway Credit: $300 - 0 paid PaydayOk: $500 - over $3000 paid since 4/2006 US Fast Cash: $450 - will be paid off 11/22 - paid thousands to them too CashNetUSA: $500 - paid $875 Loan Shop: $500 - paid $1050 Cash Direct Express (GECC): $700 - I've been using them since 2006; I can't even calculate how much I've paid them. Cash Supply: $300 - paid $900 I have gone back and forth with some of my loans. Paying them off and taking them again. I started with them a few years ago. What I thought was just a little cash for a trip to the shore turned into a disaster.

Oneclick cash

They keep presenting an electronic check (they did it twice, on 10/31, and 11/15) to my negative account. I'm have a payment plan with my bank to clear the balance by the end of this month. Luckily my bank is not charging me any NSF fees when they return the checks. So I sent oneclick, the BBB a letter and cc'ed the Nebraska Banking Department, as well as their Attorney General. The letter: You continue to present a check for $495 to my account. A loan was taken out on June 7, 2007 of $300. I had four (4) rollovers of $90 totaling $360.

big ltd

this is what big sent me [quote](name removed for your safety.cannr) When you originally took out your loan September 6, 2007, you were told that each due day you would have one of two options. Either to pay a processing fee or to pay the relevant processing fee and the loan amount to pay off your loan. You agreed to this, anytime during the conversation lasting over 10 minutes you could have declined our loan offer. You then subsequently made an agreement to payments on your loan but they have been returned from your bank as unpaid.

Whos fault is it? Really?

18 years 3 months ago
I am curious.. at what point is the customer actually held accountable to pay back the money they borrow? Regardless of the fees that are charged for a payday loan, if one person has up to 10 loans, which is the normal situation, even without fees how could that one person pay it back? So, because they cannot it now becomes the payday loan companies fault and/or responsibility?
