Hello Everyone- I was very happy to find this website by accident. Its a great feeling to know that you're not struggling alone when it come to debt problems. This is the only website that has been extremely helpful. I have 2 secured credit cards that are charge offs, if I pay them off will that make my credit worse? Thanks for your help...

I had a loan I took out about 2 years ago for a transmission on my truck. I couldn't afford the 2 grand to pay for the transmission, so I had no choice to take out a loan with Bay Country to pay for it. Anyway, it was a 2 year loan and should have went to March 08. I had enough money this time to pay the rest of the balance off and should be getting my paid in full documents as well as the lien on my truck released within the next 2 weeks. I'm so happy that something is taken care of!!

Has anyone ever assembled a large group of people to all make a complaint to an AG's office collectively at one time. I would imagine that if we had a complaint that listed 100 people they would be much more inclined to take some serious action against the company. I would think that we could choose the worst online illegal lender and do that. You always see the same company names over and over again on these boards. Any thoughts on this??

The creditors still call for my daughter now the caller id reads law office ,sorry not sure of the spelling but the man said he was from the law office of Migilan and something.I told him my daughter does not live here and he said just give her the message.My question is is this a real law office or the legal office of a collection agency.

I had prepared a letter to the school but for some reason I hadn't sent it yet along with the medical bill for my son. Yesterday in the mail I recieved an additional bill for almost 700 dollars for physician services. It brings the grand total to 1,927 dollars for a 30-45 minute trip to the ER. I am faxing copies of these tomorrow.

 

This forum has given me real hope over the last several days

I've been so disgusted and distraught for so many months. My paychecks are not enough to cover the mess that I've gotten myself into, much less pay anything else.

Pennsylvania Debt

Does anyone know if the state of Pennsylvania allows for being sued criminally for an unsecured loan? I know they can sue me civally, which I hope to avoid, but I'm just find out what the truth of the situation is before I contact the creditor tomorrow. Thanks.
