MMI is giving me a paback program of 1400.00 a month for 60 months. this is allot of money for me to find every month. is this the only payback option I have?

I would like to know how they obtained my work phone number when I am only a contractor and not actually employed by the company. Did they obtain my phone number by illegal means?

Debt Collection Calls

I am making monthly payments on the debts I owe. In the last 7 days I have received 30 calls from one. I'm paying what I can. I have spoken with the debtor, have told them I will make a monthly payment by check, and they keep calling. Yesterday, the last call came in at 7:46 PM. I live in Texas. What can I do to stop them calling all hours of the day?

I filed a complaint with NC Attorney General against mycashnow.com. Here is an excerpt of their letter to mycashnow.com It appears that your company is offering payday loans to North Carolina consumers. You should be aware that payday loans are not authorized in North Carolina. North Carolina's Consumer Finance Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. $ 53-164 et seq., regulates small consumer loans and allows a maximum interest rate of up to 36% for licensed lenders. Further, N. C. Gen. Stat.

Well, I have a consultation with a lawyer tomorrow to go over my options. Long story short, I'm considering filing chapter 7. I have about 8000 in CC debt, two negative bank accounts from bounced PDL checks, and a 1500 personal loan, not to mention the eight payday loans that I have. I lost my job recently -- due to budget cuts, not creditor calls or anything. What I want to know is this -- I feel really embarassed about having to file for BK. I don't want any of my family or friends to know.
