I am trying to make a payment on a charge off. I asked the creditor to send me a letter with the agreement out-lined. They wanted an intial payment to be made before sending me anything. I spoke to two representatives and a supervisor and no one wanted to send me the letter before hand. I just want to be protected by having something in writting prior to giving them money. I wasn't given an address where I could write to them. What step should I take now?

Global Check Processing sent a fax to my job requesting my supervisior to provide information about my employment to garnish my wages. Can they do this? I did not give them my fax number so I'm guessing they talk to someone in my area. I thought in order for a loan to garnish wages is to go court first and then garnish the wages.

Greetings, I owe Wells Fargo a total of 1600, a few months ago I told them I would pay 75.00 a month. This was through a collection law firm. I have been unable to make the make payment according to the agreement I made several months ago. Now they have sent several letters to the company I work work in reference to garnishee my wages at 25%. They informed my company that they are considering filing a motion with the court to hold the garnishee in comtempt. What can I do to avoid all of this?:(

I am in the state of Texas. I took out some payday loans and my son lost his job after doing so, which he helped me financially. A company named Metro had another number threaten me with a summons for fraud and also call my sister. She told me it would be in my best interest to call 855-683-2089 immediately. If not papers would be served on me for fraud and closing my account and not paying. I did call because I was scared. I gave them a loadable card. The amount I consented to is extremely too high for me now that my son has no job.

i asked my employer to cosign for my daughters student loan several years back , he agreed to knowing that i will make sure she kept up with her agreement, she has stopped paying for her loan and we havn't speken for 2 years ,, now my old employer is now threaten me to pay for the loan or he will sue me ,,,,,i am not on the student loan , ,, he says i made a oral promise to pay , but i have not signed anything can he sue me ?

hello..im in fl. and so i believe payday loans are leagal here, unfortunately. i took out one for $300 and payed back $560 before i had to cancel my account due to them still takeing money out..pay-off (1)..april this year i payed it off again to a total of $900..it was taken out in '08..i payed it off to DORSEY THORNTON AND ASSO. out of georgia, which is a scam..now empire asset solutions are going forward with civil crap on me..in a state where this is leagal ..what are my options?..thanks
