Ok..so thier response to my debt validation demand was to give the account over to a lawfirm, Weltman, Weinberg & Reis. Now I am sure this is a violation isn't it?

He slipped in some water by the water fountain on the way to the bathroom and hit his head on a wall. He is ok except for a trip to the emergency room and 4 staples. I don't think I could make a 20 minute drive in 5 minutes but I did it.

I just went through and calculated what was paid: 1. Cash in a Wink - orginal loan was $300 and I have made payments of $937.50. I have another loan with them of $500 that I have paid $410 on. 2. BIG - original loan of $325 and I have paid $450 3. Loan Shop - original loan of $100 and paid $240 and another loan of $200 that I haven't made payments on yet. Where do I go from here?????

I have read different info in different threads and I am just trying to straighten it out (in my head). Does an internet payday loan company have to be licensed in the state I live in (Louisiana) for me to borrow from them or do they just need to be licensed in the state they originate from? Also, do they have to follow the laws of my state (max of $300 loan with no rollovers, etc) or do they only have to follow their state laws? Finally, how do you find out if a pdl company is licensed and what state they are licensed in?

I live in California I have payday loans with 3 different on-line comanpanies: 1. BIG (formerly Route 66)- in collection with them... I am making 2 payments of $130 and I will be done with them. 2. Cash in a Wink - in collection with them. 6 payments of $100 and I'll be done with them too. 3. The Loan Shop - 2 loans with them, one for $100 and one for $200. I am paying $30 2x a month to renew the $100 loan and $60 2x a month to renew the $200 loan. *** I have paid TONS of $$$ to these people to keep renewing the loans. I have no idea how much and honestly I probably don't want to know.

In my state, I see no rollovers are permitted. If Eastside Lenders (yes Eastside again) is rolling over my loan, what recourse do I have to state to them that I have met my loan obligation?

As many of you know, I sent out letters to my PDL companies. I also faxed them this morning again. My question, do I change the dates on the letter each time I mail or fax them?? How often should I fax them and/or mail them? Until I get word from them via email or US mail, should I just ignore phone calls and go about my life?? Thanks guys! 8)
