I get many calls each day from the same number, I figure it has to be a collection agency. Most of the time they say nothing...but occasionally they do talk! In a -different- language I can't even identify!! I don't know how many times I have had to say "I don't understand you!" :lol:

I have a account deliquent with T-Mobile USA INC for 1800.00. They send the account to BCR when I call them the said we can set up the account for 1300.38. I agree make a payment of 500.00 with my check card in July and told them I will call them to do the next payment. BCR send me a letter in August with the balace of 800.00. I send a payment of 400.00 dollars in the mail. When the collector call, I explain to him that the payment is in the mail and he call me liar and the I have the wrong balance(1300.38).

once an agreement is reached with a collections agent, can the creditor continue to charge interest on the amount owed?

This happened to me this morning on the way to work...I wrote it out in an email to my family and friends and thought I would share it all with you.. I left the house at about 5:50 (it's still dark as night) and stopped for coffee at the Speedway before driving through town and out on to St. Rd. 32. I drive about 20 miles on this road to and from work every day. It is a 2 lane hwy. I occasionally share with some truckers...at this time on a Saturday morning there usually is very little traffic if any.

Lets say you deal with one of the bad collection agencies and are not that knowledgeable of your rights. So you are essentially threatened into paying the debt without proper validation. Now, you find that the collection agency, in addition to violating the fdcpa, is not licensed to collect in your state. Could you sue despite the fact that you paid the debt? Also, could you sue any collection agency who collected money from you if they are not licensed in your state? If so...wow...do I have some ammunition.... :wink:

This mickey mouse outfit called Blatt, Hasenmiller, Leibsker & Moore is truly out to ruin lives. They slapped a judgment against my house, on the account that my name was similar to the guy they want. After informing them that they have the wrong guy, they kept demanding all sorts of information from me: DOB, SOC, address, full names etc so that they can ascertain that I am not their man. After all this was provided, they still refuse because one of them claimed that I raised my voice in dealing with them. I simply explained that I did not ask for my name to be mixed up with someone else's.

I owe Money Tree 1180 and Cash Net Usa 785 and Think Cash.cm 785.00 - is there any way to consolidate these? I can't pay them- help!
