can someone help direct metothe way to get out of debt?

I got 2 numbers. The caller id said FCS # 847-485-3998 and can't get any info. The message left was with an 800-706-3401... Did not leave company name... Anyone?? Debi

I have been doing some posting this morning and I got 2 new alerts from the threads and they come back as from a "vikas" is this a new thing?

I hope I am posting in right area. I have a Gazillion questions. But I will start with this one. I just started looking at my credit report. I have one thing that says its coming off in about a month. It says collection account not charge off or anything. I don't even remember any recent letters for it. But if I were to pay it off would it put a mark on my report saying its paid off then start a whole new 7 year mark or does it keep that date thats there now? Also where can I just post some background information about what is going on with my debt, etc.?

I Paid off a debt for a Bank of America Credit Card to frederick J. hanna and associates in April. They have has of yet to send my paid letter. When I contact them I get transfered to a voicemail and I do not recieve calls back. I need the Paid letter because Bank of America decided that the 550.00 I Paid Wasn't enough and is trying to collect for another $9.42 (Small amount I know but I dont owe it). I tried contacting BofA regrading that but they need a settlement letter to proove that I paid the acount.

But I think we can get back, currently just a few days behind on payments, but late fees, and now rising credit card interest it hurting the cause.
