As a single mom, I was at wit's end & got involved in the fash cash online sites. Unfortunately, I made the first two payments on the accounts, but have been unable to pay because I didn't realize the payments would be so high due to the interest rates. I spoke with NYS Banking Department and they indicated that I have no recourse under NY Laws for the excessive interest rate these companies have charged me. They're excluded from NYS Usery Laws???? Is there anyone in NY experiencing this dilemma? How are you handling the situation? any resolutions? Please please let me know.

Can someone please help a computer challenged person?I am trying to take a clip art from a site and get it to the Avatar on my posts. It is a frog of course! I download it to my computer and is in wmf form. I try to convert it to pdf in Adobe and all I wind up with is a shortcut that goes nowhere. I tried all day to do this yesterday in between work. Cannr is going to be at me if I don't get the frog out there. Some computer savvy person please help me!

I have around seven payday loans out and it's eating my check up. I can't pay my rent at this point. Do I close my checking account or do I file bankruptcy? If I close my account will it be in enough time before the bank charges me overdrawn fees? I live in the state of Kentucky

Unfortunately my situation has possibly lead me to file for personal bankruptcy. I do however have a question I am hoping someone could answer here. I live in Ontario and my name as well as my boyfriends name is listing on our mortagage as joint homeowners. I am under the impression that I cannot file for bankruptcy if I own a home - is that true? The only thing is both our names is the house, none of my debts have his name listed.

I have just discovered that a $300.00 payday loan has now cost us $735.00. Is there no end in sight? I really don't want to close my bank account, but I am not sure I have a choice. Hi everyone. I am very glad to have found this site. I apologize for the length of the post but like to be thorough. I am currently working with a local bank in an attempt to purchase a home. The bank has been great and very helpful in getting me on the right track in cleaning up my credit report. I had never pulled my credit report before, and with the help from the bank have been able to clear up 4 accounts out of 17 on my report in the last week. I am going to start making calls on the remainder to try to straighten everything out.

I am at my wit's end. I have 3 payday loans out-2 storefront, one internet. The internet one is with Cash Net USA and I owe $1274 (including interest/fees). One is with EZ Pawn Payday Loans. I owe $1500 (including interest). The other is with Ace Cash Express and I owe $1200 (including interest). I live in Texas. The internet one already pulled its payment for this week and the other 2 are due this Thursday and I can't even afford to just refinance them. What can I do?
