Can someone be sued in the US for a debt claimed in Canada? What can a canadian collection agency do in the US?

my credit card company refused to lower my credit card interest rate of 24.99%,after asking them to do so.My payments was raised from 147.00 to 303.50.What shoul I do to solve this problem? I am on fixed income and my check is not very much.

All of a sudden, with no need for debt consolidation, I get two letters from debt consolidation companies trying to get me to call them and sign up to reduce my debt. The letter state that I am past due, owe $XXXX, and up to my limits. WHO are these companies? Are they really real, or just scam artists looking to get money from uninformed consumers? The companies are: Debt Assessment Division PO Box San Francisco phone number 888-896-8077 and Legal Advocates For Washington NO address but phone is 866-623-7436

My husband works for the Armed Forces and we have lived overseas for the last 2 years and 10 months, before that we lived in Washington, D.C.. FIRST NATIONAL COLLECTION BUREAU, INC. reported to Experian and Equifax that I owe money to DIRECTV and I called DIRECTV and they recognized that based on the places I lived and the last 4 from the SSN this account is not mine. I called FIRST NATIONAL COLLECTION BUREAU, INC. and I explained the situation and they still insist that is mine because the SSN in the account is mine and not from another person.

I have had several loans out with Bayside Cash and I keep getting suckered in when they email me and state "next finance fee half off!" "no refinance fee on your next loan", etc. My last one out was only ofr $450 and I am fed up with it. Now they emailed me stating that it was invalid and I would be due the full finance fee, etc. I am in the state of Texas and have looked around and have noticed that they are out of Belize?! I don't see anything about a CSO or any other DBA. I have already semi closed my account with my bank and opened another that is not attached in any way.

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me get out of this payday loan hell I have gotten myself into. I have been doing some reading and you have helped many, so hopefully you can help me. I have read the PDL laws for Florida, but I am still a bit confused. I have multiple payday loans and it says that you can only have 1 at a time in Florida. Here is the information on all of them. If someone can help me figure out what to do, I would appreciate it greatly, as I am tired of just paying the interest and renewing these loans every 2 weeks... it is killing me financially.
