what can be done about ruthless, abusive collection agents? My son was verbally attacked and the collection agent didn't even have the right people. Surely something can be done about people like this. The person the agent was hunting did not live at that address.

I have been sending letters to my pdls and so far I have only heard back from 2 SJM only to tell me that they recieved my faxes and to let me know that they do not go by Florida law, so I sent another fax to them and nothing, and the other was cashnetusa and they called me to let me know that I has defaulted, when I told the lady on the phone that I had sent several faxes to them she had to double check on everything and then get back to me and so far I've not heard anything since. I have probably sent 7 different letters over the course of 2 weeks and I'm starting to get discouraged.
