I've been looking at the letter templates you provide...
Does it really work when you offer a settlement for 25%-50% of what you actually owe to a credit company? I'm desperately trying to get out of debt and that type of plan never occurred to me.
I'm new here and took out payday loans a few times. Needless to say I put myself in a financial bind and was not able to pay them back. I am willing to make payment arrangements with all the companies but they tell me I have to pay half or more and only have 90 days to pay it all in. One company called today and told me they were going to charge me criminally and tried to force me into paying the entire amount.
Well - today was D day - my paycheck arrived in my mailbox, my bank cashed it for me, I paid up on my back rent and also paid July's rent. Other than PDL's I'm actually current on everything. Cash2day4u already sent me an email saying that the ACH was returned because I had closed my account. They gave me a number to call that was different than what I researched so I called - I informed them I was done, that their loans were illegal in NY and that I turned my case over to several agencies including the NY AG.
About 10 days ago I sent a packet to my AG's office with complaints on 6 pdls. I enclosed a complaint form for each one I printed off their site. I also included my cease and desist letter to each of the pdls which explained the Indiana law and what I had paid, etc. I also wrote a letter to the SH eplaining the situation and the help I needed...I also included the letter I wrote the bank asking for help with all the nsf fees created by the pdls.
I (actually my wife received it) a summons yesterday for a collections account for MBNA/Bank of America. It says that I am supposed to show up in court by the 19th of July. I have been doing some reading around on the internet and to say the least I am a little confused on the statue of limitations for debt in my state. It appears to be 3-6 yrs However this debt is very old from 99. I did get my credit report from myCreditKeeper.com but it does not show the date of last activity on the report.
my question is:
1. Is the date open the same as the date of last activity
2.
ok ive been in debt for about 3 years i believe. i recently saw my credit score and its very weak. i need to know how to pay-off monthly. and get my score back up. i cant pay the amounts on my cards in full andi dont know what to do.

Hi! Can Fifth Third Bank Collections Dept repo a car because of outstanding late fees, even though the principle is paid up and current? I just found out that I have $400-plus in late fees that I didn't know about because I thought when I made my payments on the due date at 6pm every month I was on time with my payments. I find out now that any payments made after 6 pm are considered next businesses day, thus making my payments post as "late" in their computer. I have a lease account with Fifth Third Bank.
I have defaulted on some payday loans so can the companies garinsh my wages? I live in Texas and with the research I have done,I don't think that they can but I wanted to be sure. Once I get caught up I have intentions of paying these people back, but the 8 payday loans are taking food out of my 4 kids mouth and I had enough. I could care less if I could ever get another payday loan. Can you request that these collector not call you place of employment and just contact you in writing or home phone. Thanks for your feed back.
