Has anyone ever gotten anywhere with these people. I said earlier that they refused in writing to stop ACH withdrawals and I have overpaid them also. I filed a complaint with everyone imaginable and they don't give a blank. You should see the arrogant response to the BBB. They did agree to stop the ACH and put me into collection as a settlement offer to the complaint. Months after I closed my account. Gee what a great offer!

I had eamiled the financial officer who oversees payday lenders in my state. Below are parts of the emails that shows me that not all state are going to aggressively uphold there laws to outdide lenders. When I was 18 years old I got accepted into college out of state. I had to quickly get transportation. Pinnacle Financial has acquired an old debt I paid off through debt consolidation. I paid it off 3 years ago and have a letter from my debt consolidation company stating that the creditor (another collection agency had the debt at that time)told them it was paid in full. Pinnacle says I owe a little over $103 on the account. They've been calling me off and on for the last year, and now knowing what I do, I told them I would send a copy of the letter stating that the balance was paid in full. They say I must have a letter from the original creditor stating a zero balance.

last night purpose loans who is actually another company called and said i was in default and fraudantly refused to pay the debt. they then yelled at me until i agreed to pay the debt next week. i know the money wont be there because i dont have any money. i was told to not pay my car payment or rent until this was taken care of. that the bank and my landlord would understand. but i dont want to do that. what should i do? i sent an email to my attorney general as i saw you were instructing others to do.
