Anyone still dealing with GFSIL? I believe I have found the way to finally get them off your back. First off some background: I received a $200 PDL from them in early December. I paid them well over $500 and then it got so bad that one of their checks bouced my bank and from that moment it was a free-for-all. They tried processing multiple payments of different denominations using different names until I was forced to close my account $800+ in the negative. They threatened me at work, spoke to my co-workers, left harassing voice mails.

Ok...so financially I am in a huge bind...Getting ready to go on unpaid maternity leave and have been turned down for pretty much every type of assistance in my state(don't even get me started on that because it will just open a whole can of worms) Anyway, I heard about this place called prosper.com where you post your story and then people bid to lend you money...the only thing is...I am not sure it is legit and really dont want to give out personal information because my god if anything else happens to me right now finanically...it will probably make me suicidal.

I currently have a loan out with Cashland for $650 that will be Tuesday. I know today I don't have the money to pay them. In the past they have cashed my checks. I know these will bounce considering I'm already -300 in my bank account. Has anyone ever dealt with these people? I'm in OH

From Jenny (re: drowning in Payday loans, need life jacket!) - Hi everyone - I just went to my bank and explained the mess I have gotten into w/ pdl's . The manager I spoke with was helpful & was able to return $111 of the $450 some odd overdraft fees I accumulated due to pdl's. My account is still overdrawn by $34 so he wasn't able to close it (I may be able to deposit $35 tomorrow to bring the balance to positive standing.

So is anyone still being bothered by Emerald? Keith Czarnecki keeps emailing me idle threats.

I am a newbie. I received an email and phone call to my office from Westbury Venture Mr. Featherston. States that they gave me a $300.00 loan and that I now owe $480.00. Not sure if I do woe this - I have used a payday loan service before and I would never again do it but meanwhile I do not know this company and Mr. Featherston would not give me more info about who he represents but told me that if I did not call him and pay the $430 (giving me a $50.00 discount) that I would be prosecuted for internet fraud. How dare they. If I owe a debt I will pay it.

I have a loan out with advance america for $650 with fees that total is $744.75. As of Friday it is two weeks late and I have no money to pay it. Has anyone ever had any experiences with Advance America in this kind of situation. What do you think will happen? Has anyone been able to work out a payment plan? My bank account is still open however I opened another account at a different bank where my direct deposit is going to go from now on. Any advice please let me know Thanks
