Does anyone know who this number belongs to 800-408-8016?

NCO Financial Systems bought my account from another agency, Zakheim & Associates. I had about $470 left to pay Zakheim & Assoc., but they said they closed my file and told me to call NCO. So I did and ignorantly set up automated payments to be taken out my bank account. Well the first payment of $55 + $5 convienence fee was taken out a couple days ago. After reading all these forums, I decided to place a "stop check payment" on the upcoming ones for June and July. Was that the right move? Now I'm deciding to send them a letter of debt validation.

OMG.. these people are ruthless. I just had a call from Robert James who said that he was with White Collars. Saying that US National Bank, who ever that is, is "downloading" to the county where I live an arrest warranty for me for a loan in March of 2006. First of all... PDL are illegal in NC; Second... you cannot "download" a warrant! When I told him that I had already contacted the attorney generals office and that PDL's are illegal in the state of NC, he informed me that this wasn't take out in NC... I said yea I know, therefore it is invalid!!!!

This is FYI, I don't know if anyone will remeber me or not and that's ok. I didn't socialize a lot. Well I have been gone m ostly due to a move, a career promotion and not having broadband internet. Since I'll have broadband next week I thought I would resume my visits.

Can a collection agency take a mobile home for a debt for a totally complete defaulted car loan?The vehicle was the security not the home.

My husband and i have 4 internet payday loans and 5 instore payday loans. We can't take this anymore. We have been living off of 100.00 a month for food for 6 months and always have to borrow more to pay rent. We have been doing this over a year. We finally just closed our bank account on the 4th because if we didn't we couldn't pay rent and i didn't want to borrow anymore. We are getting calls from the internet ones. They are calling my husbands job also. The instore ones we will be paying off with payment plans but the internet ones i am very worried about.

Forgive my ignorance. I don't quite understand the law for Ohio PDL. For example I originally got an internet PDL on 3/5/07. The loan was 300.00. I have paid on the loan for 9 weeks and paid 450.00. By law have I paid back what I was legally required to pay? I have the site http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/ but i wasn't quite sure how you calculate it. Thanks so much for everyones help here.
