I set up a post dated check with a collection company called ACI who is working for a car company which financed a vehicle that was reposessed earlier this year. The check was post dated out 15 days and did not go through due the funds not being in the account. I recieved a call from ACI today saying they were going to contact the local sheriffs office and have me taken to jail for writing a bad check across state lines. The check was for $700.00 as was an initail installment to set up a payment plan. Do I need plan a jail visit or am I ok?

Hey Everybody IM BACK!!!! Just wanted to let you all know the e-mail that I was received has been investigated and charges are pending. Seems like I ruffled a few feathers and thats good. I thought about changing my name but like the heading of this says Im Not Backing Down!!!! I have been payday loan free for a year and a half but I will go to my grave fighting these people. Right now it seems that this forums is one of the places that I can do that. My debates on here are also going to STOP!!!

Who is GEMB/LOWE and how do I reach them? They have a $550 collection on my Bureau and I have never heard of them!

I really did not have a car repossessed I turned it in to the dealer where I bought it. I lost my job and had no way to pay for it. Now I am being harassed by CCS saying I owe them $9,000 for what the car did not sell for what it was worth. They were taking money from my checking account and it was big chunks at a time. Now I am about to lose my house that I do still have because of it. What can I do????? Please help

Happy Easter to everyone in this forum, it is good friday and I am at work, It has been a very rewarding day at work though. Two of our hard to place folks got jobs today. I seen these individuals struggle with their disabilities but their determination to work prevailed. Thank god for the open minded employers that are willing to give these folks a chance, they sure deserve it. Hope everyone has a wonderful and SAFE holiday, thank you all for all the support, friendship and advice, be nice to your fellow man and woman, never know, someday they may be your boss.

Anthony Carter from the loan shop (LTS Financial) called and totally went off on me. I asked if he was licensed to lend in MN. He said, "what do you mean, you took out the loan from us". I took out a $300 loan and the interest/rollover was $90. I shut my account down before it was due so I haven't paid them a dime. I told him extensions were illegal in MN so quit tacking on the extesion fees. (the loan was up to $560 or something. He put me on hold and came back and said he spoke with the supervisor and if I paid $300 by moneygram my account would be PIF.

I received a call from this company today. First time I have ever heard of them. Never received a letter although they said they have sent me several in the past. Never received their voice mail messages although they claim they have left me two previously. In any event, they state that I owe Swiss Colony over 1,000 which I do not and when I asked for them to send me a letter validating the debt, the gentlemen told me that he did not need to do that and if I did not pay him something today he would be issuing a summons for me to appear in court.
