I have a loan with PD6/Express Cash. I originally took out $300 loan. I've paid them $360. According to the information that I've found here - and on other sites, I've overpaid them. CT Law says that I am only liable for $351 ($17 per $100 borrowed) correct? This jerk, named Brad Ragan, is totally harassing me at work. He's spoken to my boss, I'm in fear of losing my job. Is this legal? what else can I do? I've contacted the CT Department of Banking, as well as the Attorney General. Mr.

Was just thinking about this one. I paid off a medical debt last year, but never got a paid in full from the collection agency. After reading about some horror stories, it has made me kind of nervous, especially since I prob don't have much proof of payments. I wrote checks, but it would not be an easy task to go back & get the copies, since it took over a year to pay it off. Since I have been on this board, NOW I keep a copy of everything, but this was before I knew much. Should I request one now?

Hi, I sent allied interstate a debt validation letter which they received and signed for on March 12th. Today March 26th I received another letter from them demanding payment. What is odd is that the location I sent the validation letter to passed it off to another Allied Interstate location who is now trying to collect. What can I do in this situation?

I am applying to graduate school and must finance this with the Grad Plus loan. My credit is bad due to credit cards that I neglected while in college. I have, like many on this site, been dealing with the wonderful, courteous people at Bass & Associates. My problem started when I looked at my checking account and four different pdl companies had taken their "fee" out by ACH a week early, over-drawing my account of course. I deal with a smaller bank and was states away when this happened. Unluckily for me the only way to close my account was to go into a branch. I was not back in my home state for another five days.
