I have been having one halacious week and by what I am seeing here this week I am not alone. So here is my "Nobody love me, everybody hates me..." story. Hi, I'm in debt $24,000 in unsecured debt and would like to try to settle it myself. I've been going through a difficult time~ I recently had a tumor remove and been struggling with an illness. I have been current until this month. On one of my cards I enrolled to their protection plan, unfortuately my operation doesn't count b/c I wasn't enrolled during that time. I still enrolled into the plan b/c knew I was a about to move and they would consider that as a life event and would have my payments, interest rate and finance charge deferred for 4 months. This card I'm in debt $10,874.

Okay, I filed and my lawyer said we qualified to do a chap 7 bankruptcy. We've done the counsuling and are just waiting for the court meeting with our creditors. The lawyer said our creditors could contest the bankruptcy and try to drive us into a chap 13 if they want, and if they think there's any possible way we could pay. (we can't) How often does that happen? Our creditors are CapOne and WaMu(Providian) Thanks in advance.

Her roomate's sister just got a call from Ford Motor Credit regarding my sister's roomate. They were looking for him and asked his sister if she was related to him and how they could reach him. She took down the phone number and called my sister's roomate. He's never had a car loan, or even a credit card. He just checked his credit report the other week and there's nothing on it.
