Hello, well this is not easy but I am in an extremely tough situation. I blame noone, nor do I take the 'victim' role because quite truthfully I brought all this on myself. I am 21 and I attend Virginia Commonwealth University as a senior currently. For whatever reason I haven't been nearly as responsible with money the past couple of years and it seems by bad investments and spending habits have caught up to me in the harshest of ways. I invested massive sums of money in multiple business ventures only to watch every single one fail for a multitude of reasons.

There are three variations of Third Party debt collectors, and two are regulated by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The first involves the Third Party Debt Collector purchasing your information (the account number, your name, and the amount allegedly due). The second involves a company that purchases the account when it was in default. The third involves a the Third Party Debt Collector purchasing the actual account that is not in default.

Hi Guys, Can anyone told me how to dispute my summon for wage garnishment. I have 2. One from Lucky Cash For You in the amount of $2100 & the other one from Cash Central for 1500. The loan was for $400. I am with debt consolidation but they are claiming that they did not accept the consolidator's proposal after accepting some payments. I started with consolidation on Sept & I was told that a week ago that they will no longer accept payments.

I too have been done in with MMg we have paid 9365.00 to them from 02-05. Have went thru the forum for the past few days and found out we are all inthe same boat. I hate it that people could do this to so many people and seem to get by with it. We live in Raleigh NC and have filed all the complaint forms for over a year but nothing.

This collection agency appears on my credit report: COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTI It appears to be truncated(possibly "COLLECTION" or "COLLECTIONS"?) so I've tried several variations but can't seem to find who they are? I live in Michigan, and the debt is for over $1,000.00 and I'm clueless what it's even for. Any info on who they are or how to find out who they are would be greatly appreciated.

Just use link above or go to www.experian.com. Note you will need a report number to use this feature.You get number off free report or last one you paid for.

I have noticed that on my CR's, the credit union that I had a loan on (yes I defaulted) is listed on there. Now here is the question. The credit union merged with another credit union and took the new name. On my CR is has the orignal credit union listed but under comments is says transfered. And there is now antoher entry for the "Merged" credit union there also that says closed/sold to collection agent. Can they list me like that? That means I have 2 entries for the exact same loan on my CR that is a negative. Thoughts??
