National Payday Advance

I am having a good time emailing this idiot from National Payday Advance to tell him that they are not licensed in Florida. He has been emailing me to make a payment and harassing me by calling my supervisor and asking her if I had financial problems because I am not paying my bills. I was totally pissed with him and after talking to my supervisor telling her that everything is OK with me, I decided to take on this company. They are not listed on the Florida payday loan licensed site. I even sent him the link so he could see it.

Complaint for Rt. 66 funding

I filed my complaint to the NJ state attorney generals office. I received a letter back from them today stating since they are not in NJ they will be sending my complaint and information to the states attorney generals office in New York, where RT 66 claims their address is. Get those complaints in to the AG's Office in NY and see if we can close these people down.

what is the debt collection law in florida? An attorney working for asset acceptance told me I could go to jail for not paying a debt in the state of florida. Is there any truth to this rumor or is this another deceitful attorney working for asset acceptance?

My story about the debts I incurred..

well..it started about 2 summers ago whie working for a friend of the family and never being paid for the work i tried to pursue legal matters on it. meanwhile my roommates moved out leaving me with rent and utilities totalling over 1000 per month. not being paid for my work, i lived off of my credit card and soon exceeded my credit limit. forcing me to drop out of school and student loans payments came due. last summer i tried paying off my credit card bill but apr and fees prevented such things.

Deal with Collection Agency or With Origional Creditor

Do you think it is better to try to call the origional creditor or try to make arrangements with a collection agency (in general) and why? I have read so many posts with great advice and was just wondering if it wouldn't be better to negotiate a lower settlement with a collection agency. If you deal with the origional creditor, will they negotiate or do you have to pay the whole amount? Just wondering?
