Does anyone know if they can add interest to your account???? They keep adding it to mine. I talked to a lady today and she insisted that the only way I could pay them back was by giving 3 post dated checks. I asked if there was somewhere I could send a check each month. She wouldn't even try to work out a payment schedule with me. She just wanted me to pay like $5000.00. If I had it, would I have this problem??? So can they add interest to your debt? Pinnacle Credit Services is trying to collect a debt dated 2001 that has been sold to 3 different debt collectors. But, I payed one of the debt collectors almost 6 years ago and they will not give me the names of the previous debt collectors that owned my account and that the main owner (Verizon Wireless) sent me to. Verizon says they are not allowed to give me that information but they do have the three names of the debt collectors and said Pinnacle Credit Services should have that information, but they won't give it to me.

Has anyone heard of "being in a debt condolidation payment plan" being a bad mark on credit reports? Do lenders look at it as a bankruptcy/foreclosure?

Anthony when I am in the debt forum I do not see the quick reply box but when I go into the Mortgage forum I do see the quick repky box and I have replied using that box and it works just fine. In the debt forum all I see is a button that says "post reply" when I press that button I get a box which I am suppose to put iin my email and a password when I do it tells me is the wrong email/password?????

We live in Kentucky and my fiance owes around 26K in medical bills. She is currently pregnant and will be quitting her job soon. She is getting $40.00 garnished from her checks. I guess I have two questions: 1. When we get married, can they garnish my checks for her debt? 2. When she stops working to take care of the baby, what can the credit agencies do to her and/or me for the debt she aquired before we got married? Thank you so much for any help.

Hello All I hope you guys can help me :) In 1998; I had an account with providian bank; I paid the account in 1999. When I reviwed my credit report In 2001 I found them on my account I contacted them and they stated they did not have an account for me on file. I requested if they can send it to me in writting and they advised me that because they had not account on file for me they could not supply a letter. At this time Colorado Capital for providian was stated on my credit file. I disputed it with the credit agencies and it was removed.
