Yes I was just served a summons on my collection I had on at&T bill for 900.00 This was 4 years ago. finally now no papers in the mail know nothing. my question is that on summons there is no date on this so called paper and it is saying vs.my name and down it is and john doe I am a little confused about this also I found out the case number is way to many numbers on it I looked at my case number it said nothing only that it say place your 10 diget numbers on it . they have 15 numbers on it also i heard this company is a total rip off. please respond thank you

I just rounded up my bills and my current credit report. I want to pay off my debts in order to clean up my credit. I have been scammed in the past by a so called debt consolidation company so i am very weary about who i do business with. On the other hand, i know not every Debt counceling company is a criminal. Since joining, i havent been contacted by anyone about credit counceling. I have items that i filed bankrupsy on that still show on my credit as collections, even after 3 years.

Hi ~ I am in a desperate situation. I made a mess of my finances for quite some time and am now ready to take responsibility for my debts. I had everything in line and for the past few weeks it seemed like it was really going to work out. Then my car got taken last night. My roomate came and said there was a guy with a towtruck and my car outside and he wanted to know if I wanted anything out of it. My face fell. I had nothing to say. I gave him my keys because I know that's what I needed to do and I didn't give him any trouble.

Has anyone had any dealings with this company. I just received a phone call at work from them. She said they were calling about a debt from 1998 with Washington Mutual Providian and said something about a law suit. I told her to send a debt validation letter. I just find it strange that they would be calling for something from 1998.

On Monday I sent a letter to CashDoctors in Utah to revoke my wage assignment that I signed with them last year. I also told them that if they wanted to contact me to do it by email. Well, today I get this call from this woman screaming at me asking me when I was going to pay for my loan. I asked her if she had received my letter, and she said yes. Then I told her, well obviously you didn't read it because I specifically asked to me contacted by email. She then told me (screaming) that she will continue calling me until I paid my loan.

I would like to find out the best way i can elimante my dept without affecting my credit. Thank you

I found out that Route 66 is not licensed in Indiana to give out loans. I would like to know what advice anyone could give me when they call to collect the loan amount. I had to close my bank account and Route 66 has taken out 59.00 fee for months now. when the loan was for 150.00. Any input would be great on how or what to say to these sharks! Thanks so much!

has anyone tried debt settlement themself, without using a 3rd party? I was just wondering if it is worth it to hire the 3rd party?

I've seen you reply so I hope you actually read these. I was erroneously debited $691 from my checking account on 12/27/06. I first spoke with British Worrell of "ATSL" in late November. I foolishly gave her my bank routing number and account number. I did NOT verbally authorize any withdrawls. She faxed me forms and then handed me off to Barbara my "paralegal" I NEVER faxed in the paperwork. I spoke with British the very next week explaining that I did NOT want to start the program yet.
