I took out a payday loan in 2010 with EZMoney Pay Day Loan in Houston Texas. I received a call today from a law office in New York stating that they will be serving me tomorrow by 3pm and they are filing suit against me for the loan. When I called the law office back they stated that they would be charging me with "Attempt to defraud" and "Bad check claim". They stated that when I took out the loan that I gave them a bad check, which is why I needed the loan because I didn't have any money!

I worked there one day, this is the most disorganized place in America. They have rules, no jeans, no sneakers, cannot find your password on the computer. the one boss was asked to be the trainer and never came to work. Do not pay these people. They have no orginization. Just say thanks for the call and enjoy the day.

Hi There, In order to be garnished. Dont you have to go to court first. How Can PDLs garnish your check if you dont go to court. Now I am worried since i have more than one unpaid PDL some are legal and some arent. I live in Wisconsin.

Governor Pat Quinn today signed a new law to shield consumers from unlicensed lenders. House Bill 3935 imposes a Class 4 felony on lenders who have not been licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), and protects consumers trapped in these high-interest loan deals from having to pay back the debt.

Who is, or how do I find out who is, the CEO of Halsted Financial? They keep calling my cell phone to collect a debt from someone I've never heard of. I have told them 4 times it is not the right number but they still call every morning.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

About a week ago I contacted spotloan and told them I would not be making payments to them anymore due to the fact that they were illegal. I never heard back from them so I called and was informed that their legal department was handling my account. This morning I received an e mail from their ceaseand desist department. It said " This is an e mail confirmation that you made a payment of $140.54 on 9/4/12 with funds transferred from your bank account.

Your company keeps calling my # and asking for Karen Krueger. This is my # for years! It isn't even paid for by me my son helps out on his family plan.

My student loans have been purchased by West Assett Management. They are telling me they are going into garnishment status. I just did a consolidation loan through direct loans on other student loans I had. They are telling me that I need to do a financial disclosure and do a rehabilitation on my loan to get it out of default status. I was wondering if this is ligit or do I have other options?

I called the original creditor (cell phone ) company trying to pay my unpaid balance and was told I had been turned over for collections. I was also told they were able to pull it out of collections and I might recieve letters/phone calls from the agency, ignore them and it could take up to 2 weeks for them to stop contacting me. The next day I rec'd a letter from the agency asking me to pay this debt. Since services have been restored and I am in good standing withthe original creditor, how do I dispute this debt and not have anything negative on my credit report>

I am disabled. I have been disabled since 2007. since that time I have gone to the hospital a few times and each time I have given my insurance information. I am categorically needy and I have everything paid for with medicaid and medicare. The hospitals have incorrectly billed me, then never sent me a bill and then put me in collections all without my knowledge or any attempt to contact me. Now I have a credit score that keeps falling every month and I have done NOTHING wrong. They are the ones that messed up not me!! Can I sue for damaging my credit?
