Hi. This is Jeff Foster. I am an account manager with Global Financial. Several people have called recently and have stated that they learned about the fdcpa from this website and that I am not complying with the FDCPA. Today, a debtor named NAME DELETED FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION OF THE DEBTOR - SUEBEE from Texas said that I was not complying with the FDCPA or the Texas laws. WE ARE NOT A THIRD-PARTY COLLECTOR!!! THEREFORE WE DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLY WITH THE FDCPA!!! ONLY THIRD-PARTY COLLECTORS HAVE TO COMPLAY WITH THE THE FDCPA.

Hi all, I just need some feedback. I received an offer letter to settle an account for half the amount. I had 45 days to respond to them. I typed up this neat letter asking that the it show paid in full as agreed. Well, 45 days is today and for some reason, I didn't mail the letter. I mailed off about 10 letters during that time and I must have missed this one. Anyway, what prompted me to look into this is that Alliance One is leaving nasty messages regarding this debt. The CA that made the offer for half is World Financial Network National Bank, totally different CA.

I had filed complaints with AG and DOF to no avail, but just got letters that Department of Commerce and Insurance, Consumer Affairs division was responding to my complaint and was going to contact 4 companies I made a complaint against and mediate on my behalf. I am really pleased I have finally received something positive and willing to pursue. There might still be hope for refunds of overpayments and all marked PIF.

If the phone number to these guys have not been posted, I would not know how to get in touch with them. When I called them, they were real upset that I found there phone number... Watch out for these people... I also have notified my bank.... Thanks for this web site

I recently graduated college and have acquired debt from credit cards and loans. It is building up since the payments are all due at the same time all my bills are and my rent. I have tried to ask that the date of collection be pushed back and lower my interest rate but with no success.

I have two payday loans that I knew I should take out, but I believed I had the money to repay them. Now my work hours have been cut and I am not sure what to do. They are both due for either repayment or renewal on Friday, January 12, 2007. I have faxed both companies as I don't have a phone number, but I haven't heard anything back yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would like to know, can I get out of paying for this loan, because I to had to close my acct. in order to save my credit. They sent me a settlement letter and I tried to reply and it comes back returned. Like some of the others said the phone# is bogus.
