I live in ca. My wife had a business card and did not pay them and has defaulted. Collection agency is trying to get ME to pay over 7K which is way inflated amount. I am not in that business in any way, but I am getting the letters for this bill. What can I do?

I took out a payday loan with qxlonline.com for the amount of $200 on 10 july 2012. I have so far made two payments of $79 to this company, and have only been paying interest, and have yet to make a dent in the principle. I have learned that the legal cap on interest rates in the state of arkansas, of which I am a resident, is 15%. My loan agreement is showing an APR of 848.09%. I am more than happy to pay back the original $200, but seeing as the interest rate is illegal in my state, I refuse to pay a cent more.

Since 2007 this company First Sourse Adv. has called my number looking for P Riley. After repeatly telling them No one by that name has never been associated with my phone number they insist on harrassing me me Can I sue them?

As I said before I sent a letter to Great Plains telling them that I am finished paying them due to the face that they are illegal in my state. I just signed in on their website and in red letters it says: Your GreatPlainsLending account is currently flagged as having an invalid bank account number. Without a valid bank account number, we are unable to electronically process your payments or refinance. Please contact Account Services toll free at (877) 836-1505 to update your bank information and have this flag removed or to make other payment arrangements.

Ingot mixed up with plain green,Eagle Loan Company & National Cash Advanxmce. NCA cashed check- when I called to make arrangement for following week, whih has sen me to negative with my bank by about $1500 including fees. I called plain green, and they just removed the auto debit? They call, never leave a message and never went to credit. Yet. I took out eagle loan of $1000 to try to fix this, with intent to repay in $150 payments for 10 months- utilizing my small child support checks. Took the loan on July 6. Child support suddenly halted on July 13.

My bank is deducting automatically credit shield from my credit card account. What i understand is that credit shield is the same as insurance. Which in the event the account holder loss his job, disability and death. I was redundant in my company in dubai. As there is a recession last 2008. Now these debt collector always bugging me and squizing my neck to pay the maximum amount. I wrote them that i was redundant and covered by this credit shield. But still they insist me to pay. Do they have the right to do this things?

I'm just wondering if there can be anything done about the image verification if you're a registered user. I know it can be done in the vB acp somewhere, I have more experience with IPB but you may be able to create a new usergroup or something to put people with say, above 50 posts in. It's just a hassle to have to put in the image verification as a registered user that's made over 200 posts.

I have taken the advice on this forum and sent letter to Great Plain and Spot Loan explaining that they are illegal and since I have paid principal back to them I'm finished. Also requested a refund. How long will it take them to reply. its been a couple of days so far. Thanks

Hello! I finally paid off the last of my credit card debt last month, and am now wondering what to do from here. A few years ago, I got behind on almost all of my cards. I was able to pay several of them off in full, and get back on track with the others, without any of them going to collections. But last year got behind on those few, and ended up settling with collections agencies to get them paid off. My credit has improved slightly since paying things off, but it is still quite low. So, I guess my question is- what should I do now?
