so a few months ago i over drafted my account and i had no money to pay now i owe over 500dollars and they call me and say they will have me arrested and take me to court, can they really take me to court over this kind of thing? I am willing to make a payment plan but they want all the money up front what should i do?

The past few weeks I have been getting nasty messages on my machine from 800-670-9944. The person calling ALWAYS begins talking before my machine starts recording, and ALWAYS hangs up on her before she’s done. So I’ve never got a name, complete phone number or company of this caller and what it was in reference to. In my opinion they were doing it on purpose. Received another call today, this time I got a full number 800-670-9944! DH called, person had an attitude and hung up on hubby.

I wanted to tell you a woman from the Division of Financial Institutions called me back ! :D I told her what I was told by the PDL's and she said it wasn't true. She told me they will take whatever I give them and if they don't she said to just tell them that I will file a complaint with the Dept of Commerce. She said they don't want to take payments because they want to suck you in. She also said they aren't coming to get you. She said I know they were mean but it's all a tactic to scare you.

Why I am receiving calls by a machine reference #561***. I have called two times to be removed from the call list. I had my phone number for 2 1/2 years and I am not Roslind or Joseph? Personal info removed for your safety - Mike

This is starting to scare me. I closed my bank account and changed to a new bank. I see a lot of people in here stating that their new accounts have been debited by these individuals. Can they do this? How did they get their information and how could the bank allow this? Thanks in advance.

I was just looking over a summons I received for an old cc account. I seem to recall reading somewhere that a company cannot be an asignee and the owner of the account at the same time. On my summons it says LVNV ASG SEARS.I know it was bought not assigned because on my cr it says bought by another lender. Is it legal for them to make it appear as they are collecting/sueing on behalf of Sears? I'm just curious as if it should be brought up at my hearing as they still have not validated it.

I had a loan with cashnetusa and i had missed a loan due to my purse was lost and had to get everything replaced and now after paying renewal fees on time and trying to make arrangements they said i owe 608.00 I told them i am willing to pay only the principal and my state guidelines state no interest or fees in excess of 75% of loan. They said that they don't go by those guidlines

I have payday loans that I pay off, but there is one group i have never heard of taking money from my account! MTE Financial - there is no number to contact them. Can someone help me?

ok i should say that i have gone to a few consolidation and settlement agencies with no real help, including the one that was given to me by the counselors here( no offense i know u want to help, but the number iw as given didnt work and when i think i found thier website and called that number i was told since i am a NY resident, that they couldn't help. I have 3 credit crads that run a debt around 5 grand because i havent been able to make payments because i've been unemployed for close to 3 months, on top of a 5 grand private student loan.

OK more than a week ago I wrote to Starlight and ameriloan saying I'm not paying anything else as I've more than paid you the principal. I asked for refunds. I've not heard anything back either way. What should be my next step. I also have not heard back from DMS/Xpress Cash and Apollo re money I still owe. I had told them the amount I would pay (principal - interest already paid) but haven't heard a word. It's almost impossible to phone these people so I did everything in writing as I've not much privacy at work. Any ideas as to what I should do next?
