A collection agency is claiming they have 3 claims against me and one goes back to 11 yrs ago. I don't believe I owe any of these and there might be fraud involved. How long can they claim a debt before it is no longer a debt. I was understanding that anything after 7 years its no longer a debt.

I have five payday loans, cashnetusa, cashcentral, paydayok, tendollar dayday loan; paydayselect that I have been going broke on just paying the fees and extending them. I have made the decision to stop paying them and go into default. I called my bank and asked about that from statement of unauthorized debits and they said they never heard of it before. I live in Minnesota does that make a difference? so I'm going to close my checking account and I want to know should I contact these payday loans and tell them or just wait for them to contact me?

I recently had to have a car repo. Now the collection agency is calling. I don't think i should have to pay a deficiency balance. i feel that they recouped there loss in selling the vehicle not to mention the two years i did pay for it. i have accepted that i have bad credit and I'm trying to move forward. How far does companies usually take this matter?

i had a loan at express cash. ron reynolds made several threating phone calls to me . i agrreed to pay it off in three payments which i did. then thursday i notice when i check my bank statement they had debited my account again for $45.00. when calling mr.reynolds again he was very rude he told me he had no record of this and to fax him the information then i pissed him off and he said to forget he would not return any thing to me so don't even waste your time because i will not look at it. who do i talk to now?

Ok so I went to check out the SOL for my state, TX which is 4 yrs. After that it says "The SoL begins after the day the cause of action accrues" Can you please tell me what the means...is that the day after it was opened, closed, went to collections, ect. for some reason i am having a hard time processing the "day the cause of action accrues" Once these four years have gone by, there is nothing that a collector can do? As for me, I just wait for the seven yr mark to have it off my record? Thank you!!

Me and my husband got scammed by this company for 1700.00 for a 5000.00 loan. We called the local authority in and around Rosland, NJ. ( The address is fake ) and also contacted the secret service bureau fraud squad to let them know about this. They are investigating. The only thing I can tell anyone who has been scammed by them is to 1. change your bank info 2. contact credit bureaus and place a 90 day fraud alert 3. Keep checking your credit score. Our money was wired by money gram to Manitoba, Canada. Oh and if you call and say a different name they will answer the phone.

When will I receive the cash? This was supposed to be overnight, not three days.

I have a similar question - I received a summons for pretrail from Sprechman and associates as well back in June. I sent the demand for verification letter (specifically asking for a signed contract) within the 30 day limit not once but twice with no response - I then received a summons in August with a statement attached from the collection agency (which I had previously send a demand for verification letter to as well) - I went to the pretrail and was ordered mediation - I once again demanded the verification - which court has not been postponed another two months.
