I have an account at midland credit management. They refuse to give me a balance due. I send them a fixed amount every month but I have no idea how much I still owe. What can be done about their refusal to give me a balance due?

Hello, I recieved a letter from a collection agency when I was a student at ITT technical institute. It wasn't a student loan, just a statement saying I owed them 1200 dollars. I haven't attended the school since 1984. I was getting some estimates to refinance my house, and for some reason this triggered ITT to send me this letter (Im assuming) I dont want it to go on my credit report but they're saying it will. The debt is over seven years old, the statute of limitations is long passed and I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips on how to handle this. Thank you

We have contacted Superior debt relief, and they will not accept our American Express card for settlement. We were hoping to do all of out debt settlement with this company, but now don't know what to do. If we go with them, we are left with trying to find a company that will help us with only 1 of 5 cards (the American Express), and most companies don't want to take just one card. Any advice? We're running out of ideas. :(

the 2 oldest pdl's have refused to acknowledge my emails, even though they were never returned. I have their fax numbers. Does anyone know where a copy of pollys great letter is on stopping the annoying phone calls. I want to fax them a copy of that letter along with the emails I have sent. It's funny, they haven't sent anything in the mail and each time i tell them I have also given the AG's office a copy of the letter, they hang up.
