If a savings account transfer is used to pay on the balance of a charged off credit card, without the card holder's permission, does this restart the SOL? I got a statement from a JDB who sent a copy of a statement with my name on it. The statement shows a payment was paid and this statement was posted as explanation, "Sav Offset Crdt Purch Bal" All I can figure out is, I had a savings account and they used it to pay on the account. I KNOW the last payment I made was 7 months prior to this date shown.

Several years ago, I took on several credit cards (bad mistake). They have long since been charged off, and for the last 2 years or so I haven't gotten any mail or calls on them. I knew they weren't dead and would some day come back to life, but I was hoping to save enough money to settle them in a lump sum instead of pay the full balances. So far, I've been successful settling with over 1/2 my cards. Except one of them beat me to the punch. Chase Bank gave me a $500 limit in 2003 and by the time they charged it off the balance was $1373.

Hi! Just found and joined this forum - pretty interesting stuff! I was wondering... we currently have about $32,000 in credit card debts (7 credit cards), resulted from taxes and unemployment in the past years. Currently, we are employeed and are making on-time payments. None of these accounts has been deliquent. We would like to consolidate them into one account for easy management, and perhaps lowering interest rates.

So I had a payday loan with paydayok. I have paid $1000 for a $500 loan. I tried to get marked paid and they said no. SO I closed my bank account, my phone number has changed and they don't have the new one, plus it isn't listed. And I have a different job than on file. So they will have a hard time harrassing me. But I filed complaints with the BBB, the Attorney general, and The FTC. I also emailed paydayok my states laws and told them I was taking this action. They have yet to reply, and it has been two days.
