I need some advice - I have credit card debits that were recently sold to yet another collection agency. This one is run by a lawyer who sent me a letter and then left me two messages (I was out of the country at the time) saying they were considering garnishing my wages. That was two weeks ago and I have not heard anything since then. Tonight I was checking my bank balance to pay rent and my account has been frozen. Don't they have to go to court to do anything like garnish wages or freeze account? Aren't I supposed to be informed of the court date so I can appear also?

I received a notification from Vital Recovery Services in July for an alleged old bill that I didn't pay from March of 1999. I had several old bills that I didn't pay from that same period that were on my credit report and I negotiated payment with all of them to try to rebuild my credit score. I have been successful. Now this bill pops up.

I currently have about 6 credit cards that are almost all maxed out. I'm looking for 1 monthly payment, that will not be more of a burden on my credit. Manny

She was hoping it would be done within the next couple of weeks. This gives time for the radiation/chemo to work more in her body and help reduce the tumor. The interviews at work went okay Monday. We haven't found out anything more but I'm having some luck with my resumes. I have a couple of interviews scheduled for this week. They were able to do it in the evening.
