Is this company a scam? I think it is. I have turned them over to my lawyer.

Does anyone have a fax # for Payday Avenue and a complete mailing address? They told me today that they don't have an address and only have a PO box, which they rarely check?

LVNV put a lien against me for lack of payment

18 years 10 months ago
LVNV put a lean against me for lack of payment. OK, understandable. They sued me in the local court system and I didn't show up. However, my mother is trying to sell her house and they put a lean against her!!!! She never co-signed on the credit card! How is this legal.

I'm not sure I made the right choice?

18 years 10 months ago
I'm not sure I made the right choice for my settlement company. I haven't heard from a real person yet and it has been almost a month. Yesterday they received their first payment. I received the welcome packet and have had to call myself if i had any questions. I have emailed and never received a response unless i call and talk to someone. I thought by now I would have been formally contacted. I'm ready to get quit and go with another company. Has anyone quit a settlement company and went with another. What can I expect if I do?

I found these suggestions interesting.

I found these points on the paydayloan.org site. Quote:
Consumers have the right under either federal law or industry rules to stop a payday lender from electronically taking money out of a bank account. This does not settle the debt but these rights help consumers stop the drain of repeated finance charges or bounced check fees while working out payment arrangements. Stop lenders from taking money directly from your paycheck. Read your contract to see if you signed a voluntary wage assignment clause.
