Three months ago, I arranged a contract with Hess Kennedy to settle my debts. As of today, I am receiving letters and phone calls concerning payments past due. Just for the record, I NEVER had a late payment until I signed the contract with Hess Kennedy, and now that they are drawing a monthly fixed amount out of my bank acount, it looks like I will have to sell some of my things in order to pay the credit card bills directly. Have I been royally scammed, I wonder? Hess Kennedy came with glowing reviews from an acquaintence of mine - I wonder if they just work well with others?

I am trying to obtain my account # from them for my debt management program but so far am unable to. Is it my Social Security #?

I received a letter today from the Law Office of Harold E. Scherr. They say they represent arrow financial services. The original debt was with Household Bank. So if I pay Harold Scherr who get's paid by them? Anyone heard of Harold Scherr?

What is SOL? And can someone link me a copy of the letter I would send to a collection agency? One bought out another that I had sent that letter to asking them to verify and not call. And since the first place never responded, does that mean I can claim they forfeitted their claim and in so the new agency can't collect? Thanks, Jenn

My wife and I have had at least 1 payday loan for the last 7 years. She is now at 7 and I am up to 5. We make good money to live on now but not good enough to get us out of this nightmare because we also got a consolidation loan but ran the paydays back up. What can be done. Patrick in Louisiana

Thanks to the helpful advice from this website, i have sent the validation letter to Midland Credit Mangament and First Resolution. After reading through some other feedbacks, i have just a few questions to see if anyone can answer. 1. After the 30 days expires, and if the companies do not send the validation info, what do i do next? I see there are follow up letters, do i send them and if i do what if they then do not respond. 2. Secondly, i have noticed that some people are stating that the company may sell your account once they receive the letter, what then?

I am going to send a letter to Chase but where do I find to correct address to send it too? The account was previously from Bank One but they merged with Chase.
