I need help! In may I applied for a loan with united cash over the internet. I got approved for $150. The next day I got a call at work about a pdl for $200 from some foriegn guy, which turned out to be GFSIL, I thought it was united cash calling to verify with me. So I went thru the whole process and finally got off the phone with them and not 5 minutes later i got another phone call from unitedcash!!! of course i was floored b/c i thought i had just spoke with them. newayz i had $350 deposited into my acct for the loans.

Just wondering, Are collection agencies required to notify you before adverse actions begin to occur? I own a good amount of money to several cards, and they have been calling and threatening constantly + etc. Is there any warning before wage / bank garnishments start to occur? I'd like to set up plans eventually, but I'm trying to get OK with my non - credit obligations before I start that process.

Hi all. So, when I got home today, there was a big red notice from the constable left on my door. This has never happend to me before, but I assume that I am being sued by somebody, probably one of my evil payday loan companies. There was a nice little blurb advising that I can come by their office and pick up my documents. Weird. Their was a court case # and the constable's phone number on the back of the card, also. My question is, what do I do, now? I have already made up my mind to file a BK7. But, since I have not filed yet, how does this red notice factor into it?

Quite embarrassing, In order to claim some prize money, I was told to deposit a check into my account, and then use that money for prize processing fees. Sure enough, the prize never came through, and the check turned out to be bad. Now, I'm about $850 in debt to my checking account and they are threatening collections. Is this a secured debt? Can they put liens on my home / car / etc. if I don't pay back fast enough?
